Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Process Log Viewer

Use the Process Log Viewer to view log files generated by batch processes.

Log files are created as you run the batch process, and provide information about the processes that have been performed. You can also use the Process Log Viewer to review logs.

The Process Log Viewer allows you to view the process log records. The log viewer displays the errors or warnings generated during the process on a separate window.

Note: You cannot edit the information in any of the log files, but you can copy text from a log file and paste it on another Windows application.
The process log file is divided into the following sections:
  • Header
  • Process Records
  • Footer
Note: Data is stored as an XML string.

Field Description
Header Section The header section displays the following information:
  • Process Name: This field displays the name of the process run.
  • User: This field displays the name of the user who ran the process.
  • Start Time: This field displays the date and time when the process started.
  • Project: This field displays the name of the project.

Criteria Section This section varies and is defined by the criteria selection of the process.
Process Section This section varies and is defined by the process.

Footer Section This section displays the following information:
  • Finish time: This field displays the date and time when the process finished.
  • Error: This field displays the count of the errors encountered while running the process.
  • Warning: This field displays the count of the warnings generated for the process run.

Save to File Click this button to save the contents of the viewer to your computer. The file is saved in .txt format.
Show Errors This button is enabled if errors occurred while running the process. Click this button to view the errors.
Show Warnings This button is enabled if there are warnings for the process run. Click this button to view the warning messages.
